Exercises to Lose Stomach Fat

Excess amount of fat on stomach can make you embarrassing, especially when going to the beach. Not only this, stomach fats are also associated with lot of health risk like cardiovascular disease, diabetes and certain types of cancer.

There are two basic types of stomach fat - subcutaneous fat and visceral fat. If you reach down and grip your stomach you can probably get a pretty good handful or at least a pinch of fat. This fat that you can see and feel is called subcutaneous fat and it is located under your skin out where you can touch it.

However, the fat that increases your health risks actually lies deeper inside your stomach. Buried deep inside you there is a second layer of fat called visceral fat that surrounds your organs and is hidden away where you can't see or touch it. Visceral fat is the type of fat that has been linked to increased risk of heart disease, diabetes and other health problems.

The good news is that you can lose both subcutaneous and visceral fat and reduce your health risk significantly simple by losing weight.

Exercises to lose stomach fat 1 - Cardio exercises will burn the fat and at the same time increase your metabolism, this means that you will keep on burning fat throughout the rest of the day even when you are not exercising!. Cardio exercises to burn stomach fat include: running, jumping, elliptical machine training, swimming and other exercises that makes you run out of breathe and pump your heart to the maximum.

Exercises to lose stomach fat 2 - You must stop wasting your time focusing on traditional abs exercises to lose stomach fat. Concentrate on full body workouts that will set your metabolism fire. Focus on exercises like squats, lunges, clean and presses, snatches, presses and pulls, deadlifts, mountain climbers, sprinting, etc.
